deathOS Newsletter Vol. 3

It's been a while and I meant to write a winter version but the cold nearly froze my brain and I felt completely uncompelled to share anything I was working on, instead opting in to work instead.

First on the agenda are my Suno Personas. In the Void Witch ~Scarlet Death~ AI metaverse there are elements of that story that take place before its history, and these AI personas are essentially the "music as propaganda while we still used real musicians." Except only sort of, because you do realize that none of this is actually real.

The goal here is to make a multifaceted narrative and then just work pretty much every creative endeavor I do outside of it to be into it somehow. Whether it's a Gaiden, Omake, or whatever. Influenced a lot by Seiyuu ansillary pop star stuff like.

Void Witch ~Scarlet Death~ in terms of Suno is the post-sasscore / free jazz sort of "band." At least people think it's a band. (It's actually a sentient substrate of free market capitalism but let's not spoil everything that gets captured and turned into an AI that is essentially a Harsh Noise version of Ender Wiggin except homie don't play.

Yuna is a KPOP singer and is essentially the old world equivalent of a pop star who wasn't big until they started letting her do the opening music for video games. Primarily bullet hell shmups like "Stellar Heartbeat: RESONANCE," but you gotta start somewhere.

Cathode Kiss is my idea of an early 00s goth/synthpop band that probably would've killed it with the myspace crowd. Every town has an overly quirky synthpop duo, so I figured I would represent that here.

Alice-Hime aka γ‚’γƒͺス姫 is a citypop revival artist who is quitting music to become an actress. She believes that her music is not used ethically and is hoping that her acting will heal the world instead. We'll see. There is a version of her as a chatbot on instagram and BackyardAI

Astra Vanta is essentially part of the 2nd wave of Void Witch lore that I'm working on, as in this particular one takes place after the primary Void Witch story instead of before! This one is heavily inspired by what I imagine a sort of hi-nrg and post-italo disco

On this tour I sold physical CDs of the original Void Witch customGPT OST (Soundtrack) that was a limited run compilation of all the v2 songs I had made in Suno to kind of vibe along to while editing the Void Witch project.

I am primarily focusing on deathOS, building out the agent framework, building out the devkit. I'm not entirely sure how getting funded to VCs or even talking to them works. Actually I'm not entirely sure how talking to people in general works, so that tracks. The point being, there's a lot of moving parts and I continually iterate and optimize when new elements present themselves with a more effective approach to scaling out, I hope. I'm getting older, a bit slower, so every decision is like "let's meditate on this for two weeks" when the decision is basically something silly like whether to run zkEVM prover or a Bitcoin fork and then spending a few weeks experimenting, sampling the various qualia emergent in these systems until not only does it 'feel right' but it's narratively cohesive.

It's one of those situations where I've been trapped in my apartment, alone, working on this for so long I have lost touch with the sight of things that matter. You know, like having fun.

In 2025, please look forward to Scarlet Death making having fun great again!

A lot of the moving parts are coming together and barring any unforesen financial surprises, I expect to have something public soon!

And finally, last announcement we have revamped the old deathOS-X logo into something a litle sleeker. More of an OS-tan level sort of situation. Hope you approve!
